Faerwyn of the Sorrow.
In a time of war and desolation, the savage beasts of the Mauler ravaged and tore at the lands; the Court of Light was given a child. Small and frail, yet she shone with the Light itself. The mages of the Court trained the child in the ways of the Arcanum, she learned quickly and was possessed of a skill none had seen in centuries. They named her Faerwyn, and when she had come of age, shed already surpassed her masters in skill and power.
Commanding the remaining forces of the 5 Kingdoms she defeated the legions of the Mauler. Bringing peace finally to the lands of Soranleth.
Over time the Mauler stirred, searing the hearts of Court, corrupting them. Turning them against the 5 Kingdoms, they laid siege to Balthoraan, seat of the High Kings. There, Faerwyn, her heart incorruptible by their Darkness, stood against them. In an awesome display of power she defeated the 12 corrupt mages of the Court, and in doing so weakened her moral body.
Dreilshaar the Mauler, seeing the weak and broken Faerwyn knew now was the only time he could defeat her. Taking mortal, form Dreilshaar descended upon BalThoraan. Wounded, Faerwyn faced him, armed with the Blade of Grethmorlorne, she fought the Mauler. She unleashed all of her power in the battle, so fierce was her strength, Dreilshaar himself was in awe. Faerwyn struck a mortal blow into the heart of the Mauler, his demonic blood spilling on to her, entering her wounds and so transferring a portion of the essence of Dreilshaar to her.
Many years past after the defeat of the Mauler and His legions, Faerwyn now with child was unaware of the Darkness that had enslaved the unborn daughter with in her.
